Formal bride home visit

And here comes the next big event. It was the formal bride home visit. The purpose of this meet was to introduce each other to relations and friends of both the families. It happened on 30 Oct 2016 and we started from Pondicherry at 6am. The usual liveliness was missing in Kiru as had some misunderstanding with his father, which lead to his denial in participation in the event. However, everyone started to Krishnagiri to meet the bride and her family. Mainly Kiru mother’s relations were and few of Dad side relatives were present. Kiru’s uncle Gnanasekaran was mainly responsible in organizing the visit and provided a big moral support.

Bride’s family welcomed the groom’s family very well in a formal manner and people started greeting each other. After a formal introduction, Kiru’s distant uncle Kothandaraman gave a brief introduction about the family and emphasised that there is no expectation from the bride family (which was later messed up by Kiru’s Dad). This lead to an overwhelming response in the bride family.

After some formal talks, lunch was served and everyone got introduced to other members of the family. Everything went smoothly and finally it was concluded to proceed further after visiting groom home at Pondicherry. Later groom family departed with happiness and satisfaction.

First meet @ Bangalore

If am not wrong, it happened on Thursday, 13th Oct 2016. It was a fine morning when Swadhi along with my athai and few others came to St John's hospital, Bangalore for a regular check for athai. Madam was wearing an orange tops with big tower like ear rings. I had to ask my athai deliberately to relieve madam to come with me to visit our quarters and office locality. 

For the first time she came in bike along with me. It took quite a while for her to get in my bike. ;)

On the way to quarters I showed my office and our township. Finally we entered the quarters room. I was staying in a sharing basis with my friend/senior Uthirabalan. Room was in a shabby condition and I was little embarrassed to ask her come inside that untidy room.

She smiled and asked me to not worry about that. She was anxious to come inside as we both were alone in quarters. But she didn’t express much inconvenience in coming inside. We had little chat over there and tried to be normal. She had plenty of water to control herself. :D

After visiting drdo township, we went to Anjappar for a delicious lunch. We had fish fry, single chicken biriyani and elaneer paayasam. Then she started getting calls from my athai asking her to come periamma home soon (@Hosa road).

 We started back to periamma home in bike and had quite interesting discussion during the ride. We got comfortable with each other around and enjoyed that new feel. Had few open talks about our future personal life. Proposed to be friends for quite some time before getting into physical closeness in a typical family life. I liked the openness in her and the clarity which she had in her mind. Smilingly I was happy to listen to her talks and we reached the destination. Then had a nice introduction to periappa and periamma family. Unwillingly we had to part after some time. Even my bike was not ready to start leaving her. It was a memorable first meet where we felt the joy of being around with each other and initiated the closeness among us. 

First meet

 

This boy and girl had their first meet on Sunday, 10th October 2016 @ Krishnagiri.

It was an informal 'Pen Paarkum Padalam'.

Everything started via matrimony and our profiles were mutually liked by both families. It was quite a long search for the boy and search just started for the girl (lucky!!). Both mothers were talking to each other very well over phone which increased their interest and bond day by day.

Finally it was decided for a family meet or rather 'Pen paarkum padalam' on 10th Oct 2016. Boy's family was residing at Pondicherry and girl's family was residing at Krishagiri. The boy/driver started the car at 7am from Pondicherry with lots of happiness and expectation to meet the girl. It was 12.15pm when the car reached Krishnagiri.

Girl's parents received the boy's family very well and welcomed to their home.

The boy was quite thrilled to meet the girl whereas the girl was puzzled to experience their first meet. After a formal welcome and general talks the girl was invited to meet the boy's family.
It was a duplex house and the girl came down the stairs slowly in a traditional attire (blueish green silk saree if am not wrong). Expectation piled up for everyone sitting in the hall downstairs.
The girl slowly came down with mild nervousness and gave a formal welcome to everyone down there. The boy was looking at her expecting for an eye contact.
Suddenly it happened and the boy gave a 'smile' at her which eased the girl's tension and she 'smiled' in return. There started everything!!
